Oklahoma native Aimee Coker is an acrylic portrait artist dividing her time between Toronto, Ontario and Boston, Massachusetts, and has been painting since 2018. She holds a degree in Psychology and has spent the past four years teaching children through engaging, creativity-focused art education. As a homeschooling mother of four, Aimee developed her own art curriculum, which is now used by families and schools around the world.
In addition to teaching private art lessons for students ages 3–89, Aimee hosts art classes and creative events for all ages. She is also the author of five published books, including children’s art technique guides, a creativity journal, and a fine art print collection, with another children’s book scheduled for release later this year.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT:
Art, for me, is like speaking a second language. It gives me a way to communicate what I feel but cannot always articulate with words. As an artist, my goal is to authentically express emotional experiences through visual storytelling. My paintings are, in many ways, snapshots of feelings that can feel too large, complex, or vulnerable to face alone.
By sharing them, I hope to create moments of recognition and connection; reminders that even our most private emotions are often deeply human and shared. If someone walks away from my work feeling a little less alone or a little less afraid of their own inner world, then the painting has done its job.
